  • Tantalum

    Tantalum is a lustrous, blue-gray, ductile, hard metal that is highly resistant to corrosion. It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity belongs to refractory metals. The main use of tantalum is in the production of electronic components, mainly capacitors, and some high-power resistors. It is also used to make alloys to increase strength, ductility, melting points, and corrosion resistance. Tantalum can also be used for making thin lines of sewing tissue medically. Tantalum oxide (tantalum pentoxide, Ta2O5) can’t react with any acid, so it’s a good coating material’. Tantalum carbide (TaC) is a component of the material that is used on the cutting edges of high-speed machine tools.

  • Niobium

    Niobium is a grey, crystalline metallic element with high temperature resistance and other desirable properties for manufacturers. It is most commonly used in the creation of numerous metal alloys. Small amounts of niobium (as little as 0.1%) can significantly improve a metal’s performance characteristics. Niobium is renowned for its excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation. When exposed to air and moisture, a tenacious niobium oxide layer forms. This layer acts as a protective barrier, blocking the intrusion of additional air and moisture and, as a result, preventing the occurrence of further corrosion.

    Niobium is one of five refractory metals; this means it is highly resistant to extreme heat and wear. Its 4491°F (2477°C) melting point makes this metal and its alloys ideal for high pressure and high-temperature applications. Despite niobium’s relatively high melting point, its density is the lowest of all refractory metals, which can make it appealing to the aircraft and jet engine industries.

Tantalum / Niobium Rods

Billets are forged by Precision Forging Machine, pickled, annealed and further to be rolled and machined. For excellent mechanical properties, the extruded rods will be manufactured separately.

Tantalum / Niobium Wires

Application: Capacitor grade tantalum wires are mainly used as the anode lead of Ta Capacitor. And niobium alloy wires are also used as the anode lead of electrolytic capacitor, but mainly used to make High-Voltage Sodium Lamp.
Manufacturing Steps: 6mm coils peeling drawing down to 1.0mm with drawing processing rate 6%~8% cold / hot drawing with annealing after each drawing pass cutting and straightening for cut to length wire cleaning and vacuum annealing spooling and packing.

Plates/sheets are rolled by 400mm, 600mm, 800mm, 1200mm hot and cold rolling mills.

Tantalum / Niobium Seamless Tubes and Capillary Tubes

Tubes manufactured by cold rolling process from extruded tube blanks and annealed in vacuum annealing furnace, have high quality with various outside diameter and wall thickness.
